Winter 2023 Sister of the Quarter!

“biased because she’s literally mommy >.> but rae is so incredibly resilient and the genuine drive she has to be an active member in the greater community is so so respectable. not only is she active in the house as her work of director of step out is time consuming, tedious, and difficult but she still takes time to carefully plan each detail as well as she can. she wants everything to be to the best of her ability. but then in the greater community she is an activist working to level out and increase the awareness of different types of treatment, unlawful/unjust discrimination, and even specific cases for violence against minorities and women. it’s worth asking her about her work! overall, she is not only a guiding and supportive syzter (+ parent but i’m so so biased so i won’t elaborate hehe) but also extremely inspiring in her community work outside the confines of UW.”

“As Step Out Director, RaeAnn embraces our motto "lead from the front" with grace and conviction. I always know I can trust Rae to guide both new members and active SYZsters to become more empowered and vocal about our passions. Outside of Sigmas, she contributes to our community and advocates for antiviolence extensively. I've loved watching her grow into leadership and use her voice for social good throughout her time in the house. “
